Senior HR and Administration Officer

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and making final hiring decisions.

  • You may also collaborate with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and determine staffing needs.

  • Ensure that new employees have a smooth transition into the organization by conducting orientation programs, explaining company policies, and facilitating necessary paperwork.

  •  Implementing performance management systems by setting performance goals, conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback and coaching, and addressing performance-related issues.

  • Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.

  • Act as a liaison between employees and management, ensuring fair treatment and fostering a positive work environment.

  • Participate in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures that align with legal requirements and best practices.

  • Communicate and enforce policies across the organization.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including personal information, attendance, performance evaluations, and training records.

  • Generate reports and analyze HR data to provide insights for decision-making.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies.

  • Perform other related clerical and administrative tasks

Competence and Skills:

  • Good knowledge of labour law
  • Problem-Solving and decision-making
  • High proficient in Computer skills and experience of working with HRMS
  • Proficient in using ERP, online/Web, MS applications (Word, Excel, power point). 
  • Excellent Verbal and written communication in English and Amharic
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Qualification and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management/ Management/ Busines Administration or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the same or similar HR positions is required
  • Preferably worked in Technology Companies
